The report from my former colleagues at IPCC and WMO finds that human-induced climate change is the main driver of heatwaves and is likely the main driver for extreme rain. Petteri Taalas, Secretary General of WMO said today: "#Climatechange is more visible and the emissions are growing more rapidly than ever. Our aim is to reach 1.5% for the welfare of mankind, now we are heading towards 3% instead. This is not enough."
